Evaluation of Drift-Reducing Nozzles for Pesticide Application in Hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.)

چکیده
Spraying pesticides using air induction nozzles is a well-known method to reduce drift. These drift-reducing have been tested on many different tree crops (such as apples, citrus, and grapes), but we are still lacking information their utilization hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.) groves, although major nut crop in Italy, recent years its cultivated area has constantly growing. This paper reports comparison between treatments carried out with cone flat-fan low-drift versus two conventional nozzles. The distribution quality, the number of droplets per cm2 target area, drift non-target trees adjacent those treated were evaluated by analyzing impact water-sensitive papers placed canopies. results show that because no significative differences terms application quality found nozzles, can be good alternative standard pesticide applications hazelnuts without altering chosen pesticide.

Hazelnut (Corylus avellna L.) is one of the important nut crops in world. The harvesting ofhazelnuts is done either by hand or by manual or mechanical raking of fallen nuts in Iran.Common hazel is widely cultivated for its nuts, including in commercial orchards in Europe,Turkey, and Iran. There are some genotypes of hazelnut in Iran that their growing areas arelimited to Gillan, Aredbil, Mazand...
متن کاملThe Aspergillus flavus Susceptibility of Hazelnut Varieties (Corylus avellana L.) in Laboratory Conditions
Iran has suitable conditions for cultivating high-quality varieties of hazelnuts (Corylus avellana L.). Most of hazelnut orchards in Iran have been established by planting native genotypes. Aspergillus flavus Link. (AF) is a filamentous fungus affecting hazelnut kernels in orchards and during storage conditions. The most widely explored strategy for reducing aflatoxin contamin...
متن کاملHigh Quality RNA Isolation from Leaf, Shell, Root Tissues and Callus of Hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.)
Extraction of high quality RNA is a critical step in molecular genetics studies. Hazelnut is one of the most important nuts plants in the world. The presence of the taxol and other taxanes in hazelnut plant necessitates explaining their biosynthesis pathway and identifying the candidate genes. Therefore, an easy and practical method is necessary for RNA extraction from hazelnuts. Hazelnut has h...
متن کاملIdentification of microRNA elements from genomic data of European hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.) and its close relatives
Plant microRNAs (miRNAs) are small and non-coding endogenous RNAs which have numerous regulatory roles in cells. These critical players regulate pathways either by inducing translational repression or messenger RNA (mRNA) decay. Newly developed bioinformatics tools and computational methods have been increased to identify miRNAs with their targets inside the genome. In this study, we predicted ...
متن کاملIn silico development and characterization of tri-nucleotide simple sequence repeat markers in hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.)
Plant genomes are now sequenced rapidly and inexpensively. In silico approaches allow efficient development of simple sequence repeat markers, also known as microsatellite markers, from these sequences. A search of the genome sequence of 'Jefferson' hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.) identified 8,708 tri-nucleotide simple sequence repeats with at least five repeat units, and stepwise removal of the...
